Trying to use titular correctly.

If a story is called The Lottery, and there is a lottery that happens in the story, is it correct to call that lottery the titular lottery since the title is named after it.

I have read only totally entry-level stuff. My favorites are The Stranger, Wind-up Bird Chronicles, Slaughterhouse-Five, and To Kill a Mockingbird.

I now have a guaranteed two hours per day where I can't do anything but read so I was looking for a more difficult book to tackle. Maybe I should just try more Murakami.

In general, it seems to be agreed by most that 1Q84 is pretty bad, the rest of it a lot more debated. Wind-up bird chronicle is kinda well liked since I last checked, but maybe I just came upon a rare pocket of admirers.
