If this was any other author, I might agree. Hell, even with John Green or JK Rowling, there's a certain (young/stupid) demographic for it. However, Ayn Rand is absurdly bad, to the point where even fellow right-libertarians have entirely disavowed her. Beyond just absolutely god-awful writing, consisting of bloated narratives with one-dimensional characters, cringe-worthily obvious allegory, and thinly-veiled excuses to live out her fetishes, her philosophy is the most shitty, hypocritical thought imaginable.

It's the most half-baked, inconsistent tripe imaginable, to the point where regular libertarians, minarchists, and ancaps have all had to take great pains to distance themselves from the "philosophy". Ayn Rand deserves every ounce of hate she gets (from literally every corner of the political spectrum), and the only "unfair" treatment she receives is that I haven't had the personal pleasure of pissing on her grave.
