When does the "Kingkiller Chronicle" get good? I finished the first book and am halfway through book 2 but it's starting to get so fucking boring. The prose is beautiful but the story is going nowhere and half of each book is trying to get his love interest to notice him even though she has told him they have no future together. I hope things pick up in book 3.

Never understood the point of this. Isn't the point of a love interest to root for that character to end up with the main character? Why would you dedicate chapters to said love interest getting railed by other guys while the protagonist copes with it? Though I guess this is what appeals to the modern fantasy reader. They do like Denna after all.
