How does one get deeper in literature and philosophy? I wrote paper for my philosophy class on Kierkegaard and my professor's biggest complaint was that I needed to go deeper.

Do you usually read one book at a time until you're done with it or multiple books?

After doing a bit of internet research, I find that a lot of my thoughts are aligned with postmodernist philosophy.

Can someone tell me where to begin? I'm not really interested in postmodernism as "western culture is bad, feminism and multiculturalism is great" (I hate women and niggers). While that is the social media user definition of pomo it is also a very poor definition because I feel there is more to postmodernism than pretend women are men and niggers aren't niggers.

Are there any good postmodernist thinkers who aren't trying to appeal to their 33.8k twitter followers with everything they write? And other recommendations in general please. I don't know where to begin and don't read much outside of the internet.
