>There is one layer of the Qu'ran that is clear and obvious in its meaning and there is a hidden meaning to the Qu'ran's verse that is hidden from the average believer or not readily accessible to them
How does this differ from any other sacred text?

>However, parts of the Qu'ran are not clear in their meaning (the Qu'ran states this itself)
Probably because Muhammad realised how heavily all this shit would be scrutinised?

>Also, Hell, for the most part, in Islam, is temporary.
>for the most part

I signed up to (what I thought was just) a 12 week editorial magazine subscription, 3 months prior to leaving the country for a while. Upon my return, I was surprised to found a mound of them waiting for me on my desk (roommate had left them there for me), as I had been under the impression the subscription had been cancelled automatically after those 12 weeks were up.
>MFW

It's not a particuarly expensive subscription, but it's kind of sad seeing all those unread issues sitting by my bedside table, untouched. I tried reading a few of them, but because they're outdated (it's a current events magazine) they feel a little... invalid/irrelevant, despite being a good read.

Has anyone else encountered this? Should I read them anyway to build upon my lexicon and learn about things that could improve my understanding of future publications? Or am I better throwing them in the recycling bin or donating them somewhere?
