Started reading this (Dutch translation of it) but immediately ground to a screeching halt when it got to defining propositions and logical analytical problems.

First of, why is the subject of "table" more valid than that of "being late" when being late is an observable phenomena (in Bertrand Russel's problem)?
Second, what the fuck did Alexius Meinong mean when he said that predicates can realise non-factual subjects?

I want to get into symbolic logic/analytic philosophy. Should i read an introductory book first or start with witty right away

Was he right about things or do you think that his thought has been overrated or mistaken?
