This is true. Perhaps though Mishima had relations with men, he wasnt gay. As well, being a homosexual doesnt exclude being relatable or disprove his points as one may relate to another on a wide variety of grounds and agree with even the points of a hypocrite or their enemy. The stereotypical "Chud" likely enjoys Mishima because of his despair filled outlook on life and how he endured despite it, even looking past the Nationalism. They see him as relatable because he endured, much like theyve endured through their own emotional pains.
