You will come to realize that most women will not bother to give you the time of day. She seems to try and read every book you give her. There is more to life than some one who shares specific interests. Be glad you get along so well and don't give up unless she starts to prove to be a drain on your life.

Does any "book for this feel" thread expect a book recommendation? Have you ever searched a book you recommended from here?

Death is the reward for a life well lived. To finally rest knowing you worked hard.

Fuck man, except for the woman I’m in the same boat. I’m even talking to a Marine recruiter to see if I can get away from this shit. My greatest fear is becoming like Ryuji except that I can’t see myself falling for a woman since I can’t really stand female company for more than 10 minutes.

I could say something like if you improve yourself and work on your self other gfs will come your way. Or I could say the one true red pill is that everyone is born alone and will die alone and you must not get your value and reason to live from the outside. But those are just things I heard. Things I’m parotting because this is what I saw or read or consumed in some other way. Is everything just a cope? Is everyone just larping?

First draft will always be shit but you just have to get it written down and finished. Don't edit as you go along because you'll never get it finished and you'll go around in circles.

Finish your first draft, take as long as you need, some days are slower than others.

Have a few days to recuperate but don't just get lazy, do something related to writing like read a little more or find places that can give some good advice (not your friends or 4chan, but there are actually good communities out there, especially via social media, where writers share their work for feedback, or look into getting a professional reader to read your work).

Afterwards, proof read your work. Focus on getting rid of typos and grammatical mistakes while creating a list of things that are most apparent to you that need tweaking, improving, cutting, re-writing, etc.

Focus on that list and how you'll start your re-writing. Be as critical as possible.

Lather, rinse and repeat. There's only so far you can do this on your own, so try and get a professional second opinion. You can literally pay people something like $40 to read, critique and feedback constructively on your work, which is a good step to take instead of submitting it to competitions or pestering agents so early on.

Keep at it. Keep yourself motivated. Some days you'll feel that slump which then you need to take a little time for yourself - watch a movie, treat yourself, go for a walk, get a snack, etc - but make sure you come back to your work the next day. Paul Haggis the writer-director said that he would write every day on top of caring for his family and his job, and somedays it would be as little as writing for thirty minutes a day.

If you can fit it into your day, push yourself to do a little.

You can do it <3
