I think OP meant well when they created the voting system, but it seems now that it's consequences are not quite what is expected. Even aside from Mein Kampf being first place, which is quite a hard pill to swallow for many, the list will likely have a lineup which differs from years past in a few ways. If the list is made based on the current votes, here's how I think it will look:

Mein Kampf first, /lit/'s golden picks from years past in the top spots after that, (Brothers K, Moby Dick...), and from there on out the list will look like years past, except the further down the list you go, there are more books which haven't gotten into a list ever, and some books which /lit/ rarely ever even talks about. The last 10-15 books on the list will likely be chaos. Maybe about 60-75 books will be /lit/ canon, (Catch-22, 2666, The Sound and the Fury) things which show up extremely consistently on /lit/'s 100.

The list will probably be noticably different, but not in the ways you might think. This is just my guess, in any case.
