Green Eggs and Ham is a metaphor for non consensual sex. No matter how many times the protagonist refuses his advances, Sam refuses to back down. During the final moments, Sam's persistence coerces the protagonist to submit. In the typical rapist fantasy scenario, the protagonist enjoys the green eggs and ham. The harmful message being that he should have told Sam, his metaphorical rapist, "yes" all along.

For me, its Green Eggs and Ham. It was the first book I read on my own, start to finish. I remember staying up late one night, and I got so interested in the challenge of reading it that I went through the whole book. It took what felt like an eternity, I must have been really sounding out words at that moment, and then trying to figure out what word the sounds related to. Beyond that, I really identified with the No, David! series or whatever it was called.
