I'm like 42 pages into this and I feel like I'm in way over my head, I don't understand so much of it right now, I get the plot points but the kind of exegeses moments I'm just like lost

is it worth pushing through or what?

I love dick, but so far the story is pretty different in terms of his prose

So, i just finished this.
It was my first time reading PKD novels.
What should i read next?
Recommend something more normal.

Nah, you'd have another a somewhere and some dots on it if you were Scandinavian.

I went on a big PKD trip awhile back (when a ton of stuff got added to Audible), but avoided this book. Something about the movie, which I don't remember well, turned me off on the idea of it.

Also, I hit the wall hard trying to get through Valis.

Reading VALIS right now

So I bought a copy of VALIS,
never having read Philip K. Dick before.

I'm about 80 pages in.
What the hell did I get myself into?

At times I think I'm starting to have some understanding of what he is saying
Then at other times my head hurts and I want to put it back on the shelf and forget about it
but I can't, because I feel like I really want to get it

Please offer encouragement, or feel free to laugh at my inability to comprehend
