young dudes need explosions!!! his writing style is definitely not something that i think should be forced on a 8th grade boy in school. i faked reading in order to pass. and when I became an adult and read it, I think it's one of the most beautiful prose writing that exist. but even if you forced me to read it back then even with some kind picrel technique, I would never had been able to appreciate it. I don't think it's a bad idea for all adults to read, if they're looking for some distraction in the book form.
