The Dead White Jellyfish

Reeking like an emergency ward
School-break kid's are poured
Boys like old volume knobs
Twisting to the surface
Back from underwater salvage jobs

I lay in clear waters
Floating like Prometheus
Beneath corrugated skies
With only deep-end divers
Sometimes pecking at my side

In the smaller pool
Of a lighter blue
All filled with floating foam
Girls are bobbing up and down
Toeing the liquid loam

I see their small feet probing
Kneading with small pink toes
And I send dead white jellyfish
To the ocean floor below
