Hey anon, it's me again. Sorry for the troon meme, it's kind of uncalled for, anyhow; I just wanna say that from what I've read; David Heyman, film producer, got a copy of the first HP book from his assistant, this back in 97 the year HP was first published, seems like HP began showing up on best sellers list between 99 and 2000 which coincides with the first couple movies pre-production. What I'm trying to say is, I'm sure HP had some innitial sucess but I think the movies happening this early is what astroturfed it into this level of popularity, without the movies I think it could've been popular but within the standards set by other popular children's books from the late 90's and early 2000's. Rest well.

How long will it take me to learn enough Italian to read Dante? Suppose I work for an hour a day and have a couple years of Latin under my belt.

What are some books about monks or monasticism? Fiction and nonfiction are both welcome.

Thanks guys these threads really cheer me up. I've had my library card revoked since the last competency quiz. Head librarian asked me to describe the principles of Anglo-Saxon versification and I forgot . Needless to say he was furious.
I went to ask for it back and it turns out because I'm a platinum member I can get it back if I clear out all the kobolds from the basement. I asked for a sword or a weapon of some kind but all they gave me was a pen.
Wish me luck guys

Introspection and forgiveness.
You must remember that you're not going to flip a switch a suddenly turn into your idealized persona. You will fail over and over again. Even the main faces of stoicism such as Marcus Aurelius recognized that you mustn't be harsh on yourself for the days that you falter.
Be patient, and be consistent. You'll learn from your mistakes, and that oppression in your chest will be your reminder to stay on the right path.

Now that I think about it, the fox part in The Little Prince brought me about just as much joy as Tractatus' 7th proposition. Funny how that happens.

>autism
how do we find the proper etymon of this word? if the root is 'aut(o)', and the suffix is '-ism', a preliminary semantic reconstruction would give the etymon of 'selfism'

but, what does -ism really mean? what does this suffix connotate to you?

Anon smiled, on the screen before him lay his joy.
To his friends he was a memory, to his family he was an afterthought and those acquaintances that knew him held him in no merit or esteem.
But with his frogposters; those nameless muses.
With the frogposters he would always be comfy

I honestly wish you luck, man. I see a lot of your threads in here and I sympathize a lot with your situation. Honestly feel that you should write more and try to publish it more. More books = more sales. Anyway, I haven't read your book yet, but one day I'll buy it.
Best of luck and godspeed, fren.
