Murnane is interesting in the same way that Chris-Chan is interesting: unabated autism.

Murnane has a filing cabinet that is not to be opened until after his death and the only thing inside of it is a bunch of letters he never sent to other authors about how bullshit and stupid they are.

His poetry book is one of my favourites. Murnane is pathetic at poetry to the point that it becomes interesting again.

He is obsessed with horse races and has spent over two decades devising an incredibly specific and boring system of simulation in order to write a book of false horserace statistics.

He is basically Georges Perec with devastating mental retardation.

There is usually zero coherence in most pro-homosexual argumentation or apologetics.
In all honesty, I believe that there may be genetically deterministic factors that predispose someone to being/becoming homosexual (though wouldn't this suggestthat they would be mostly selected out as a form of sexual disorder?). But there is undeniably also a social factor, which is a combination of media propaganda and abuse--almost all gay celebrities admit to being abused as children, as do most of the gays I know in my personal life.

Either way, serious conversations or research about the true consequences of homosexuality and possible solutions are stifled in all academic conversation. If you aren't with the program you're persona non grata and subject to social, career, and possibly even legal punishments.

here's the thing anon. peterson's ideas are demonstrably flimsy. he just repackages watered down jungian psych with standard right wing talking points. Despite being a total psued, he's now one of the most visible public intellectuals. Why? Why, if he's so self-evidently full of shit, do people listen? Because people assume someone else has done the thinking for them. It genuinely does not matter if Peterson is a charlatan, as long as he's able to spew diarrhea into a thousand new minds.
