Now that Rowling has officially cemented herself as the modern day Lovecraft, what will her legacy be like 100+ years from now when everyone's dead? Will it be viewed as akin to Hemingway's misogyny or Pound's anti-semitism, where it's just seen as a product of the time and/or just a weird little blip in their biography, or will it be truly like Lovecraft where people are like "Yeah I like the genre the author pioneered but holy shit [author] was fucked in the head?" Will there be attempts, like Lovecraft Country for cosmic horror, to reclaim the comfy YA magical boarding school genre by making a more "woke" alternative?

JK Rowling was raised by a racist misogynist father, was an abuse victim, suffers from depression, an dealt with the death of her mother, yet she was able to write a lighthearted children's series all while hiding her racist and transphobic views. How can doomers go about writing bloomer material? How can we separate ourselves from the characters? I for one don't want to write Lars Von Trier type of shit but I find myself drawn to a darkness I want no part of.
