I'm thinking about investing in a proper home library. It'll be a significant expenditure so I'm wondering if it will be worth it.
Basically I want to replace all my beloved books with hard cover, cloth bound, etc. nice editions (Everyman's, Folio). Will this bring me joy in my old age? I imagine myself running my fingers along the spines of my stately collection, reminiscing, contemplating a life well read and the many books that were with me through all that. Maybe even pass it on to my children and their children.

or should I just stick to reading used paper backs and libgen pdfs
