As others have mentioned, you can't really separate Marxism from a materialist view of history, which of course precludes taking Christianity seriously. There's nothing less materialistic than the Resurrection, after all.

It's all real Anon, especially the Resurrection.

Honestly Aquinas' five proofs are sufficient, especially the Unmoved Mover. I've never met an atheist that could satisfactorily refute that one, especially now that we know the universe isn't infinite and had a definite beginning.

Of course, as Aquinas himself would tell you, those proofs only prove the existence of God as such. To prove the CHRISTIAN GOD is true relies on convincing someone of the reality of Jesus Christ. You must be brought to believe that, not only was Jesus real, but He was actually who He said He was: that He was the Son of God, the Incarnate Word, God made Flesh.

You can look at historical records on this. People like to shit on Josephus but he has not really been refuted, and he talks about Jesus from a perspective outside the Bible. We know for a fact Pontius Pilate was real now, after about two centuries of people trying to claim he was fictional; and if Pilate was real, why not the rest of the story?

But in the end you are going to have to take on faith that the Christian God is real and exists in the person of Jesus Christ. There are plenty of atheists who have been shown proofs, evidence of miracles, actual Church history that confirms prophecies, and aren't convinced. In the end you are going to have to decide if you can believe that a man can rise from the dead.

If you can have that faith, the rest will flow naturally.

Jesus actually, literally rose from the dead. Repent of your sins and go to Mass.

OP if you don't literally believe that Jesus rose from the dead you will never truly be drawn back into Christianity. You must believe in the Resurrection truly. This is a matter of supernatural faith, I'd argue no book can help you. I think you need to pray, more than anything else.
