>If you go the academia route and have Latin, Hebrew, and Aramaic, you could probably get a job in a decent religious studies or comparative lit department

I've accidentally spent my free time giving myself a classical education. Truth is however i dont really enjoy the technical things as much as i love being able to read literature and poetry. Still, i have already made plans to to spend a year at the Vivarium Novum, improving my speech and getting the rudiments of Greek .

funny thing about that, in my teens i discovered i was dyslexic. I read just fine but spelling is always a s struggle. Thats why i went into CS where you can just rote memorize everything.
It's not such a problem these days with spellcheckers and whatnot, but i resent how it makes me look like an idiot savant who can learn anything but is otherwise retarded .

Im alright. A bit of a downer and trouble concentrating as i sometimes do after a big deadline. But the weather is clearing up for running and the cute French girl i've been chatting up seems interested, so i cant complain.

Been reading Cicero's Offices in parallel translation, brushing up on my Latin, since i hope to take a summer course on the language.

My best friend is moving to south Italy and I want to give a parting gift.
He's a bookish art gallery, come look at the architecture, type of guy.

What art book can i give him?
