Is it normal to not try to participate in society if you believe everything to be meaningless?

I find it very hard to relate to people and I've been shut in for a while now. I see no purpose or motivation in carrying on with life and reproducing. Nothing seems to have helped me so far. And I don't want to believe I'm smarter than I really am. Even when I was a kid I questioned the utility of a lot of basic rituals like schools, family units, acting strong, etc. which led me to a path of depression.

It's been years and I see all my peers 'get ahead' in life and I keep having second thoughts on whether I should get back into the rat race and whether I'm missing out on something.

Is there any conclusion to my condition?

I have no reason to live anymore, I have no friends, nothing to look forward to. It seems like my only options are to get back into the grinder or collapse. I can't seem to find to find peace within myself.

I go into the tracksuit store super excited and look at all the tracksuits and i pick one out and when i get to the counter and try to pay with my card, it gets declined and they tell me i have no money and cannot buy the tracksuit.
