Oh, here's the real story I wanted to tell.

>cool old guy professor who used to be a big deal
>First day of reading our work aloud, some kid I'd never met before is up first
>he wrote a super masturbatory Fifty Shades fanfic type thing that is also a blatant ripoff of American Psycho
>includes bondage and a questionable concept of consent, which wouldn't bother me if the story were less derivative
>everyone just stares at the table and has little to say afterwards

Fuck both of them. The S&M guy was unoriginal and gross but the NJ kid getting so butthurt about it was almost as bad. I just wanted to workshop excerpts from my novel and pull audience pussy, not listen to two perverts assault each others' perversions.
