Amateur writer here.

When it comes to fantasy, what's the shit that puts you right off it in the first few chapters?

Writing can be 'to each their own' but I'm fishing for opinions here to see what people think. As far as writing goes, I'm big on internal consistency when it comes to anything out of the ordinary, so I'd at least like to say I have that going for me.

Might as well tell me some of your fantasy/sci-fi gripes so I can improve as a writer.
