Everyone here who believes in or practices magic, why? Can you learn to shoot fireballs? Can you fly? Can you turn lead into gold? If not, then what is the point of practicing it?

This book is responsible for my dive in spirituality, I have been consistently practicing the exercises in it for months. Though I must ask: is there anything I need to know regarding this book?

This trilogy. I assume it isn't talked about more because people assume it is "magic" and therefor cringe. What is meant by "magic" in this context isn't what you think. Rather, it is an active, heroic overcoming of the human condition; the practice and knowledge of the esoteric sciences of ancient Western Royal and noble castes. It is the answer to the dead-ends of profane philosophy, similar but superior to Stoicism, Nietzsche, and Stirner, off the top of my head. It isn't "occultism" for LARPing trannies, in fact it makes them seethe. I see people saying "this or that philosophy wore off after a while," this is completely different and will change your life if you take it seriously. At least in my experience. Non-whites and trannies need not apply.

Also in some ways very similar to Tibetan Buddhism, funnily enough.

How good is this as a practical, step-by-step guide to spiritual advancement through the use of western esoteric (hermetic, qabalistic) techniques?
Are the rituals easy to perform from a logistical standpoint or do they require specific complicated materials and objects?
Are there any better books for a practical exposition of the great work and formation of the light body?

I like the Tree of Life as a general model for states of being and higher planes which is why I'm looking for books on western methods, but eastern recommendations are fine too as long as they work. My main concern is practicality and concrete applicability.

Where does this book derive it's authority? Isn't Evola's whole argument that you need to stick to big T Traditions like the Abrahamic faiths, Buddhism, and Hinduism (If born into it)? What Tradition or legitimacy does this book hold?

I am currently reading Evola's introduction to magic. It's alright.

Just got this, I'm completely ignorant on the subject of magic, will I be able to cast spells and levitate after I finish it?

Should I read his other works and come back to this later? What's his reading order?

I'm trying so fucking hard to be open minded about this shit, but I can't have any experiences of my own despite my best efforts using their techniques. I think I have finally realized I'm a materialist nihilist despite my loathing of the mindset. This all just feels like LARPing, but everyone throughout history has been religious or spiritual in some way, it can't all be made up can it? If you're just going to laugh at me don't comment. Also for anyone who hasn't read this it's not about Harry Potter fireballs or anything, You aren't asked to "believe" in anything simply to try to experience it, well I fucking tried and I haven't seen shit, what am I doing wrong?

What the fuck am I reading? I just finished "Knowledge of the Waters" and don't understand a goddamn thing I just read. I knew it wasn't going to be Harry Potter Spells but I'm beyond lost here....
