have short attention span, just read in short bits. i probably don't read more than 25 pages before i have to get up and do something. drink water, go to the bathroom, check my phone; that kind of thing. i like fragment writers too

Had two girls with that were throwing themselves at me that I didn’t go for. The first because she had a boyfriend. The second because I’d recently gotten a girlfriend.
Later found out that at the time they were interested they were both virgins. (And they were both 20/21, with me being a couple years older)

I’d say you could actually interact far better with classical and more prestigious authors far more than you could ever even dream of “interacting” with a modern shitty le artsy indie author by crapping up some email to shit in their direction.
For example, researching Edgar Allan Poe, his upbringing, his family, etc. made me appreciate his writing so much more and start developing a love for it. You could visit a museum about him, see where his old home was and see how his surroundings were shown in his poetry.
Compare this educating, whimsical trip back to the past to writing some modern contemporary shit author wearing a beanie and drinking 3 Starbucks onions lattes at the same time. Tell him you love his works, what would he say? Probably “Like, cool dude” or “Did you buy my latest one yet?”. No chance in hell to learn about his past, present, and future and how they affect his works. Maybe you could rummage through his trash cans for any clues pertaining to his life.
You can genuinely interact with older, classical writers from a bygone past far more than you could ever attempt to interact with modern shitster Twitter meme authors.
