That's a lie. Agriculture allowed for stratification, which allowed for abuse and corruption. Aside from early societies living in areas naturally rich in resources, authoritarian power structures really didn't exist in the hunter-gatherer world. Tight-knit co-operation was key to survival- this resulted in more harmonious social relations

Of course, it's not all roses either. Death rates were much higher, conditions more primitive, and it's simply not practical to try and go a hundred years back in time and expect to be able to fend off the modern era.

But yes, Agriculture was the original sin. Anthropology / Sociology support this
