Go for books that are not experimental ot too dense, count of monte cristo is straightforward in presentation and doesnt need a close read, unlike something like Infinite jest (i know midwit tier, fuck your self) which ommits foot notes in the recording.

Do you like doorstoppers?
I find myself drawn to them for some reason. Is it because they allow for deeper narratives and character development?
Are there any great books missing from this list?

There aren't even really that many books over 900 pages out there.

This was the in-progress doorstoppers chart and we were having trouble finding too many recommended ones even just over 700 pages, with top ones real doorstoppers and bottom dubious.

The entirety of my lit folder is just a few pictures of authors I admire and recommendation charts.

Has anyone here ever reached a point where you have nothing interesting to read? As in, a point where you got to the end of your to-read list. How long did it take?

At the speed I read at, it's doubtful that I'll ever run out of interesting material to read (for every book I finish, two more books are added to my to-read list basically), so I find it hard to justify rereading books. It just feels like wasted opportunity.

Ultimately I guess it depends on what you're interested in reading.

Only one I have. Dunno if there was a newer list though. This one wasn't finished.

I think I'm giving up for right now. There's no agreement on what is wanted and people are getting too angry. Here's what I had so far though - top part is verified as 800+ pages, bottom part hasn't been weeded through yet.
