What are you paraphrasing here?

I recently read into Mencious (as in, the 300BC guy)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mencius
and was surprised - maybe I shoudn't have been - that Mencious Moldbug indeed has a significant overlap with him. As in, it's not just a random name choice.
Both come down to a "build and they will come" philosophy extended as proposal for a market of states.

Now regarding China, if you assume people can cope with a godless society, then the Confucious/Mencious teachings are alluring. They are the first to propose hard rule but not with rulers assigned by family blood but instead based on merit and knowledge, including knowledge of artistic & technological fields. I don't think the Chinese "for your parents" ideology (which, must be mentioned, is also part of the 10 commandments in the Bible anyway), and it's extension to the state as metaphorical father, should be taken as muh obedience, if that's what you mean
