Yes, it happened. I was 8 when I realized something was deeply wrong with our mother-son relationship, but it went on for my entire life. We still have a codependent relationship, but I've recently moved away across the country, so I'm hoping to find some real healing.

I still call my girlfriend 'Mommy' when I'm drunk, although I've recently asked her to gently stop me from doing so as soon as I do. I don't actually like being this way, or having this fetish. It's painful, but every once in a while, I indulge in it for comfort.
