Dreamed that I was watching Jesus carry the cross from far above, descending a small hill, bare stone, infernal afternoon heat, he leaned on a boulder at a hairpin bend, right on the edge, the crowd caught up to him and what looked like a small child approached him and tried to hammer the crown of thorns to his head with a couple of small nails, he hammered the first in but wanted to hammer the second backwards, it would not go in and the child started screaming and revealed himself to be a malformed old man with a beard.

Dreamed that I was in a museum in a huge room with a mural depicting giant immortal whales that "got so heavy with age that they could only swim downwards", though they never reached the bottom of the ocean. There was a genealogical tree with drooping branches showing their distinction from normal whales as well as their ever-descending swimming trajectory. The whole wall was black at the bottom and dark blue at the top. It seemed to slowly shift in real time. They were called "world masters".

The Shining is terrible. Jack might as well have been King Richard IV in Blackadder, more of a caricature than most comedies, affectively sterile, radically unbelievable even in vulgarity. Wendy too, just a yelp dispenser. Fred Flintstone slamming a door is incommensurately more dramatic.
