I was told on here to start with HTRAB and was disappointed that it lacked guidance on how to train your reading speed. The only substantial advice on that seemed to be on p. 40 about fixations and regressions. Good book, but for most people trying to read literature more seriously I believe a book on more efficient elementary reading should precede it. I read a study where they trained using exercises from cutlers "Triple Your Reading Speed", and that seemed efficient although that study was just about vision span exercises. What are your thoughts on that book? How do you deal with persistent problems in elementary reading such as letting your mind wander or fixating too often?
