wow, that's awesome OP. /lit/ has really been there for me, i'll admit not voluntarily but at least to talk to. i think i consider you guys my bffs, no matter how many of you hate me.

i have so many memories here, the fondest after i started tripping, during the holidays, before starting uni. my only worry was the impending doom of it.

i miss stagolee & quentin. his departure was so sudden & the fact he hasn't returned makes me sad. i wish he would make one post sometime to confirm that he isnt dead. love you stag <3

I don't think i've learned anything from being here, well maybe some general things like what schools certain philosophers are from etc. think alot of you have different taste from me.

Would you care if I died/was murdered/killed myself /lit/?

hope for your sake this isn't sarcasm.

Oh great & humble wise-one, by choosing one of these fine pieces you'll be forever in our debt if you start us out with some essential picks as this.

Novel: Can we do The Castle by Kafka? If that's too overdone how about The Wings of the Dove by Henry James?

Play: Hamlet

Poetry/Essay/Misc: The Tower by Yates

This could be good, is it weekly? I think it would be better if, for the novel at least, we got 3 weeks so we can do stuff like War & Peace length ^ ^

OK..... So far we've got:

- Oedipus bro oppressed by general public
- Bookish university bro attracted by weaboo author name

Anymore takers? I might just have to get a Kindle since my taste in literature is as alienating as my music taste.....

you may have one but it was a very close call due to OPs shitty sentence structure. i will not admit defeat until d&e confirms i'm wrong.

in which case i'm glad i trolled you all, as i was only pretending.

also you'll have to have brightness full for sunlight i think you'll discover. but at all other times i find lowest or w/e best.

one thing i found hard to discover is how to swap between colour schemes. its just left/right on "colour schemes" in the menu.

enjoy! ive read alot on it already & i feel its better than straining my eyes on 4chan all day.

It's just that I never pay for things that are fucking free, least of all for entertainment. I'm not vain enough to want my own bookshelf to validate my ego or show off.

>Guys I want to sleep with.
God get away from me you vapid bitch, you'd actually sleep with someone based on their tastes at all?

>Jane Austen (or Bronte Sisters)
>Girls who made out with other girls in college when they were going through a “phase”
Obviously can't distinguish Emily from the other two, pleb.

>Charles Dickens
>Ninth graders who think they’re going to be authors someday but end up in marketing
I hope this is just an American thing...

>Dan Brown
>People who used to get lost in supermarkets when they were kids.

>Men who use words like ‘dubious’ and ‘tenacity’

Pretty impressive, there was so many people there.

The cool thing was when I was just sitting on the grass reading by myself a mother with two young children asked me if I wanted to sit with them while it was on and I stuck with them the rest of the day.

The Pope a lovely singer as well, that's on top of being a great intellectual.

She reads Dostoevsky. She has great taste in movies. She is fun & hosts events because of how great her conversation is. She is also in a band that makes highly complex & emotional music.

haha I have one of Bleak House.

I really don't see how it's any different from any other. Do you fags actually choose books for how nice & impressive they'll look on your shelf.

Good grief.
