Oh you're talking about fantasy. Well in fantasy you can do whatever the fuck you want. But for me, personally, if you write a scene with a bunch of armored knights at camp going, "Did you see General Mary Sue? She's such a fucking bad ass. She's wiped out a whole battalion with her magic powers!" And then General Mary Sue walks by and they all salute her and she's like "At ease," and they all swoon once her back is turned. I would cringe. Women in the army is a big fucking disaster, as any soldier would tell you. Pic related.

But there are guys who respect Joan of Arc. And one of my favorite stories is about Bradamante, a female knight, but she isn't respected at all by the other paladins.

Tomboys are a comical parody. Even the meme post highlights this. The 2D tomboy shows incredible levels of secondary sexual characteristics.

It never fails. Not even once. That's when they just aren't looking forward to being gang banged by the whole sports team or their military unit.
