Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

She saw it from a distance. Her sister, and that asshole of a boyfriend she had. He grabbed her by the head and shoved little sister to the ground. Picked her up again and threw her head at the sharp corner of some chest in the garden. Blood splattered on the wall. A state of shock and horror.

She ran as fast as she could, as fast as her legs would carry her.

She arrived, but she had a feeling of despair. She felt a fear of loss.

She looked around, and then she realized that everything was different. They all looked similar, but they were different. And that's when she realized she had just woken up.

Is it your perception that many philosphers today would have been diagnosed with some mental illness, bipolar, paranoia, OCD, depression etc.? Do you have any knowledge of known philosophers showing symptoms of this? Didn't Nietzsche go insane for example? What are your thought on the idea?

just thought of a logical explanation for theism. keep in mind this doesn't take agnosticism into account.

okay, so you're either a theist or an athiest. in both situations you're either right, or you're wrong, correct?

scenario A: you are a theist
A.1 you're right; god is real, ily jesus, all that jazz, sweet, i'm in heaven
A.2 you're wrong; well fuck, they were right, oh well, thats too bad. nothingness for eternity

scenario B: you are an athiest
B.1 you're right; haha suck it christians, i was right, nothingness for eternityyyyy...
B.2 you're wrong; well fuck, they were right, oh well better get used to having my butt raped by devil.

and you may argue that if you are only a theist so that you can go to heaven, isn't that really what religion bottles down to anyway? sure you want to please god, but you really want to please god so that you can go to heaven, amirite?
