I tend to read stories written by smart people despite having no talent for reading. I struggle to make sense of things if they are not laid out plainly. For example:

>Reading Dubliners, Two Gallants
>Confused the whole time
>Understand the boys are up to something, but no idea what it is
>Don't understand whose gold coin it is
>Read it again and still don't get it

Does it get any easier? Or is it something that capable people can do naturally?
