After a few years, i'm close to reaching 0 sex-drive, but i'm still addicted by instinct. Once every 1-4 months the horniness starts to pile up hard and i get into a state and making stupid rationalizations like "it's not that big of a deal" to then jerk off, then the crushing emptiness of the Id starts to weigh in, i regret my decision and go back to another few months of abstinence before it gets overwhelming again. I need to either smack myself with a harsh reminder when i get into that state, or prevent it from happening at all. Preferably the latter, i know some great men like Newton and Jung managed to achieve this level of asceticism, but i'm not sure what exactly the common tool they used to beat their instincts was, maybe faith? I guess i'm open to believing in higher purpose to our existence, but i'm not sure what it is if any.

No, i'm not a redpiller or anything like that. I just wanna have more in common with some of the greatest men who ever lived, because surely their traits will make me more virtuous and productive.
