Let's say i'm interested in the history of the material conditions and reproduction of world history.
Is there a book that covers something similar?
like some sort of "history of agriculture. Since ancient times to eugenics"?
may wording may be misleading as i'm not interested in marxian perspectives of history or agriculture although i won't refuse to read some of it if it's good or useful.
Is any history book just as good as any specialized one i can find on this particular subject?

When I was a kid I used to think there were angels who were trying to speak to me. They told me that I would become the ruler of heaven, if only I kept believing in them for my whole life. I would sit in the garden for hours, thinking about the angels. But I grew up and I eventually stopped believing in them.

My parents didn't even raise me religious. They were strict atheists. How did I get a superstition like that into my head?

How many books do I have to read before I am "allowed" to write something of my own?

I've been thinking about joining one just to socialize and brainstorm, but my past experiences at my uni tell me it's gonna be shitty poetry slams and hacks trying to get their YA novels published on amazon.

>working on a farm
>all my writing is obscure reference to specific farm work which I dress up as mythological references

any books for this feel?

So guys, I'm going to college to take up a degree in philosophy and literature. I honestly have no aspirations in life what so ever, and I'm not being sarcastic or making this up, I literally feel that I have no reason to participate in society, I actually loathe society. I find that the thing I enjoy most is indulging myself in deep mental thought, reading articles all day on interesting topics and reading from a selection of my library of books in my apartment which my parents pay for. I feel like shit from not moving around much all day or really talking to anyone ever, but I hope that in spite of the fact that I have no aspiration to do anything in life and I sort of hate being alive, that I'll somehow enjoy myself in english and philosophy, because at least that will satisfy one thing that I enjoy doing, and it seems like a step of doing something as opposed to just doing nothing at all. What do you think?

>tfw became interested in Lovecraft and Herman Melville because of tragedy of their character as authors
What other authors were completely overlooked during their lifetime/literary careers but were post-humously celebrated as some of the greatest of their time?

The pain of knowing I may never meet a girl as perfect as Rose. Thing about introvert girls is they stay inside. And so do I.
