I've been reading a lot of contemporary American literature in the past year - George Saunders, Ben Loory, Amelia Gray, Ben Marcus, Blake Butler, Stanley Crawford, David Ohle, Sam Shepard, Harry Mathews. It has been a pretty good time, with Crawford's The Log of the S.S. The Mrs Unguentine being my favorite so far.

Read a few Pancake stories, planning to read the rest. I'm also planning to read Metrophilias by Brendan Connell and more of most all the other authors I mentioned above.
