Is there another piece of writing that takes the question of suffering (and thus suicide) seriously?

Is this essay based or cringe? What are the main criticisms of it? Camus' point about quantity over quantity of life experiences resonates with me, but I don't see how it is a consequences of the absurd. I didn't understand the work fully due to many references to other philosophers like Kierkegaard and Nietzsche, so maybe I'm missing something?

I think you’d like Camus. He recognized that although life is “meaningless” in the sense that there is no ultimate goal, man can find joy in this absurdity. Check out pic related
Also, here’s a fitting quote from “Summers in Algiers”:
> For if there is a sin against life, it consists perhaps not so much in despairing of life as in hoping for another life and in eluding the implacable grandeur of this life.

This book stopped me from commiting suicide. What does /lit/ think about Camus?

>have "suicidal" thoughts like every human bean
>be in a constant existential crisis state
>read this
>understand and agree with it
>still can't rid the existential crisis

what am I doing wrong?

I want to start reading the Myth of Sisyphus again. Some time ago I read about half of the book but lost interest and decided to switch to other lectures. What drives me away from it is the language. I am not really a philosophy heavyweight, but I have read a decent amount of books. I feel like I should have a bit less trouble. How did you read it?
