was any one else read this as a child?

My dad used to read me a different one every
night and the end I'd have to explain the moral of the story amd we would discuss it.
definatly what got me interested in literature from a young age.
anyone elses father do this with them?
or are any of you fathers who do this?

Does anyone know any good books like aesop's fables?

Books that have a bunch of short stories with good endings.
