TL;DR: What you think about The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time?

Hey guys,
I'm going to university this year and I've seen that people there organize some kind of programme to let you accommodate easier: every freshman who wants to join the project is supposed to read a book during the summer and then we talk about it when we get there to get friendly.
This year's book seem to be The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. What do you think about this book? Is it worth the time?
