Dinopill is a phenomenon when faggots want to only read old books.

It's funny a bunch of newfag dinos are pretending that they were here for years, and the bunch of dino marcos were made for no reason.

>>15283822
Dinos think modern books stopped at the 80's / 90's. They wouldn't read anything afterwards.

I've been in the general longer than you, since the beginning, and I've been calling your boring dated books dinos for at least 6 years. Take your fossil fuel newfag ass back to pol. Here is your (you).

This just proves to me that not only are you pretentious and have no tastes, but you're a fucking dinosaur to boot.

I do read a lot, it's just that most of it is old stuff. I honestly have no clue what current year fantasy books are about because they seem so unappealing to me I never bothered with them. I do know however that most of the bigger releases that are talked about here such as that /tg/ series of books, Malazan, and the like still have a lot of the Tolkien copycat tradition still going. If you would actually say what they are about and how they have advanced then that would be illuminating. Frankly I think many people are too stuck in that mire to see the fields beyond it. It's not just the fantasy races but the forms and style, how stories are constructed.

>Meanwhile the only place on the internet that regularly mentions Wolfe, Vance, Silverberg, etc. is become /r/fantasy poster's second home.
Oh. So you're just a disgusting dinofag. No wonder. You're probably the one that frantically shills Vance and juggler-berg, trying to get more people interested in those two shit authors.

>away for two threads
>come back
>dinos talking about his shit books and spitting on anything new
>a faggot that doesn't even read using "we" to include the entire general in disliking something (when just like it was 5 years ago, we that actually read don't feel like wasting time memeing and arguing with some that didn't even read the books. They feel that because there is a vocal minority that he speaks for the general)
>everyone that doesn't read boring tomes is will wight now
>self published is now the boogie man of the general and traditional publishing (which is all sounding the same these days and pushing pandering agendas) should be treasured (why do I feel you work for the publishing industry? Maybe you're that conanfag, who actually works as a cover designer and leaked your own work in here a few months ago. If traditional publishing dies, you out of a job)
>e/lit/ists see that outer lit is a lost cause with all the philosophicalfags and rollie pollies invading and are trying to colonize sffg to their tastes, talking about literary value, we (true sffg users, not outer lit invaders) never talked about that shit seriously (even when we liked gene wolfe it was never mentioned that he is the standard to aspire to in our readings, it's just that his stories are nuanced and well written, with tonnes of hidden meanings)
>I didn't get to give my chart to the anon asking for good books of the past 10 years
>the no-read-fags talk about degenerate works and harem, when many of the classics I read over the years did shit that would have harem readers blushing (yet my self published chart is smut incarnate, even though there is a fucking disclaimer at the bottom)

I prefer the dinos to the conan and Chinese mass translated shit fags that shill these generals. At least the dinos read a lot, even if it was only books published before a certain period.

I ignore most of sffg. They are mostly dumb dinoposters who don't want to read anything new, just revisit their childhood through nostalgia.

They read sparknotes, wikis, and reviews, thwn come in here and pretend that they read a book released in the last 10 years. Fed up of the BS tbqhwy

then you have the class of /sffg/ sub-memes which are more specialised but also more rewarding. for the discerning sff patrician, of course.

my favourite is the "dinosaurs" meme (pic related). there's also the "GRI" meme where a book is "GRI-approved" if it has appropriate levels of gay, rape & incest.
