This could not be more obliquely related, but in a history-spanning subterranean-connection kind of way I thought about Juggalos a lot when reading Wisconsin Death Trip.

My favourite works of schizolit are the Francis E Dec screeds about the Gangster Computer God etc. I hate that the main site archiving them takes this weird 'look at this loser goofball' attitude. Like they're being smart for debunking the notion that there are space communists on the moon.

My second favourite is Daniel Schreber's Memoirs of My Nervous Illness, but to be honest I've only ever skimmed the pdf.
