If DFWalrus fanboys are so sincere why don't they admit IJ is a turgid and overworked snoozer that should have been heavily edited?

I've got nothing against these threads, but they do seem quite lazy. Reaction image everyone's seen posted 600+ times and an easily ignored thing about books.

/lit/, my vocabulary while writing is about nine times as large as my vocabulary whilst speaking.

How does one get the two to match up? Asking for tips or advice. Speak slower?

I sound so uneducated when I speak my thoughts.

A friend of mine once held the opinion that Virginia Woolf was dry, useless literature. Not too long ago he told me that he was listening to the BBC and there was some audiobook playing and he was listening to it quite enthralled--he listened up until the end, despite having somewhere to be, because he wanted to know what it was. It was Virginia Leishman reading "To the Lighthouse."

He reads her quite regularly, now.
