Let's say I speak French, English, have access to very good teachers, and have already learned a reasonably difficult language all by myself (Hebrew). Of the following, which would you say require a teacher to learn: Russian, German, Spanish, Italian, Latin, Ancient and Koine Greek.

>the reason why I want to do good to me is that my brain is wired to escape physical and moral pain and yearn pleasure, which is due to evolution
>the reason why I want to do good to people I love is that my brain is so wired, e.g. it hurts when your mom gets hurt, which is due to evolution
>the reason why I want to do good to people I see is because my brain is so wired, i.e. the feeling of empathy exists, and is due to evolution
>the reason why I want to do good to my fellow countrymen is out of tribal instinct which is due to evolution

Is there a way to refute these assertions? In particular, why do people care about people they don't see and have no relations with? Is it to feel good about oneself? People that have internalized what society tells us a bit too much? I want to care but I see no logical basis for it.

Books for this.
