This board is so gay. This should be /phl/ because none of you fucks actually read literature in any worthwhile way. Do people here want to write books? No, apparently not. Do we actively review current day or past literature, post threads about works we read and liked? No, people ask whether something is good, but they rarely post something non-political, non-philosophical that doesn't get drowned out by a sea of the same few books on the same topics the one mass of lit posters reads: vaguely historical, esoteric and thus abstract and easy thought systems, political but niche statements which are separate from the canon of any actual scientific field. In fact, there is neither science nor research nor anything remotely intellectual to be found here. Even literature as a field is too dependent on actually having read a wide variety of books. The issue is that /lit/ although preoccupied almost exclusively with /philosophy/ fails at the most basic task of having read anything post the most superfluous Greek dialogues any humanities major will come to read throughout their first or second semester, not to speak of actually reading Kant or Hegel or modern debates. Everything real is the enemy on here. That is why no one on a literature board writes, no one here can write. You need life experience to write a cohesive book and you need a life in the first place to even just type it out.
I've had more organized, well informed and civil discussions and philosophical points on the virgin coomer board that is fucking /v/ and better political arguments on /int/. Fact is, most of you people don't even use this website. This is an echo chamber of a very vocal minority of non-channers shilling for shitty books.
