I feel that my life is over. Everything I want is completely out of reach. I am losing the very little I had to begin with. For the first time, I can truly say that I have nothing to look forward to, not even the illusions of wishful thinking. Ahead of me, I see only darkness, suffering, and an ignominious end; a slow culmination of torture.
Very briefly, I was happy, even if it is a pointless happiness. I guess I can't ask for me. I am only staying in this world because some day, fate might need me to do something, no matter how slight that chance may be. I do not want to betray my sense of duty, even if I am suffering for nothing. I don't know why I was born, if things were going to be like this, but I guess I will have to give this my honest shot anyway.

The point is that subtle imitative works can distort reality for the average human being, especially if there are a lot of them. Which is precisely what has happened today. Enormous amounts of people live in their weird hyperconsumerist fantasy stories and judge moral matters on the basis of "what would Captain America do". This type of idiocy is pandemic and the only two ways to prevent it is either to make everyone a mega Overman at the same time (impossible) or restrict the conditioning influences that warp the souls of people (almost impossible). As you can see in the Republic, Plato admires the skill of talented imitative poets, but he says that they would simply be praised and immediately sent out of his city, because by nature their skill is harmful to the people.

Look, this is actually a far more nuanced issue than most people will acknowledge, because there are indeed links between what we know today as CRT, post-colonial, "racial justice" sjw types and Marxism through Third Worldist Maoism and Weather Underground type of shit, but there's basically zero ideological continuity between Marxism and CRT. CRT and Marxism are utterly incompatible - you could say that CRT replaced Marxism, but not that it is a form of Marxism. In fact, you can even find some folkish stuff in certain types of Marxist literature, but the CRT shit of today is an explicitly racial, anti-class movement. Genuine Marxists - extremely rare - are despised as "class reductionists". The current CRT and post-colonial grifter types take their cues from radical strands of liberalism, civil rights, anti-racism, post-colonialism etc., not from Marxists - although they like to usurp the aesthetic.

I think there is certainly a lot of overlap with postmodernism in many ways, but the postmodernists also had very diverse and rich opinions about various topics that the current "revolutionaries" would not even give a second thought. I think linking these people to post-colonialism is far more prudent.
