The Poly-Olbion is an unfinished epic poem by Michael Drayton, thought to have been a pal of Shakespeare, that describes the geography of England (and some of Wales) county by county in excruciating detail. Drayton was a good poet though, so it's nice to read. The poet in Borges' story The Aleph is an allusion to Drayton
