more and more i'm coming to understand his making fun of odysseus as bourgeois. there's a sort of mythological evolution at play, where only 'traditional' stories like dramas, hero myths, etc. get passed on. what i'm having trouble understanding is why stirner and nietzsche wrote for other people in the first place. and i wonder how many other thinkers that have lived with very similar ideas who thought it to their advantage to just never share what they'd learned.
