>live without regrets

In order to do that your best option is to be an easy going pleasant fellow, not trying to be dexter because you're frustrated.

Stoics: Life is the god-nature of epic harmony, virtue is alignment with nature, one must must must, duty duty duty, good good man man virtue virtue if you can.

Epicureans: Life consists of matter that acts in a certain way, we are also matter including our conciousness, there is nothing after death, there is no inherent order, virtue or good in the universe, therefore we should rather try to have a good time and feel fine and the best way to do so is to live a life of simple pleasures with with the people you love and cherish what you have rather than spend your time striving and pining.

>what does epicureanism mean in practice? like, what do you do that qualifies as epicureanism?
Not her (?), but this is an excellent introduction:

Simply put though, Epicureanism is a materialistic worldview where pleasure is the highest good. This doesn't lead to a crude yoloism but rather a refined middle way where one learns to be content with the little and necessary things in addition to a heavy emphasis on friendship and contemplation, with the end goal being a gentle, undisturbed quietude that radiates happiness.

Some Epicurean stuff. You'll be comfortable and warm and drinking something cool and you will feel great for the sake of just being comfortable and you will thank the disinterested gods for not meddling with your existence.

Nothing wrong with hedonism if you know how to roll. In my opinion it's the least susceptible to recurring bouts of existential crisis and nihilistic tendencies. It has to be a gentle, warm hedonism though. A tempered hedonism. Cyrenaic yoloing will just drive you back in the arms of your misery. Take it slow. Drink a bit of wine in the garden with your friends. Frolic about with some girl. Plant a garden, cook nice meals. An emphasis on the small pleasures of life and on the company you keep. A good hearted quietism. Epicurus is who you need, not Sade.
