What /lit/ thinks about this series? No spoilers please, i finished the first book recently and i will soon enough get the second one. Also, are the complement books worth my money? Auri is one of my favorite characters from the first one and i'm really interested in getting The Slow Regard of Silent Things as well.

I tried getting into Kingkiller Chronicles since I always hear about it, and it was fucking horrible.

Kvothe is shit and that literal whore that he obsesses over despite being some sort of natural sex god is even worse. What do people see in this series?

Was constantly recommended Kingkiller Chronicles, finally read it fucking hated it. The main character is an annoying Gary Stu who can do everything and anything, and that Denna slut he constantly goes full retard over is even worse. Why is this shit considered "good" fantasy?

With all the praise it got, I was expecting something somewhat decent. It had a strong opening, I'll give it that. But afterwards it just comes tumbling down.
